Development of Core Business
Current Information |
After the purchase, Lee P. Moore
continued as the company's President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In March 1982, he purchased the company. In addition to his responsibilities as Sunniland's leader, Mr. Moore continued the company's tradition of community service. He served as the Mayor of Sanford, Florida, from 1969 until 1983.
Sales and profits grew substantially under Mr. Moore's leadership. In 1992, Thomas W. Moore became President and CEO of the company. Thomas Moore has also contributed greatly to the company's profitability and growth. He has kept the company moving forward while maintaining the ideals on which it was founded.
Building Materials and Chemicals are our two major operating departments. They evolved from the company's desire to fulfill its needs, and the needs of its community, in the farming and agricultural industry. These two departments are now the company's primary focus. They continue to serve the community, and our customer's communities, throughout Florida and the Southeast.
Throughout our 100-year history, we have maintained the integrity of our founders. In this time, we have earned and kept the respect of our customers and the communities we serve. We have made the ideals of our founders the core of how we do business.
Integrity, reliability, excellence, and tradition: that is
Sunniland.
